Erik Varner

Erik is a native of the state of Virginia. Erik received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Mennonite University. After graduation, Erik got his first introduction into the sport of auto racing by working at CV Products and helping to assist with the family-run NASCAR team of Brian Vickers. While at CV Products, Erik was able to develop and fund the Professional Race Support program. The Professional Race Support program served as a mobile CV Products store and brought tools, racing components, and automotive consumables to racing series such as NASCAR, IMSA, NHRA, and IHRA.
After his time at CV Products, Erik led numerous start-up sales and marketing businesses to streamline their operations, increase sales revenue by as much as 100%, and oversee the hiring of crucial sales and marketing positions to help ensure the viability of the company. Erik took a break from his career to obtain his Master of Business Management and Juris Doctorate degree. After working in the legal sector for several years, Erik made the move back to the world of auto racing to work in Business Development with Leavine Family Racing.
Now, as a partner of The Surge Connection, Erik oversees all contractual partnerships, managing sponsors and drivers, and specializing in the connecting of businesses through The Surge Connection’s B2B programs. While Erik has held previous sales and marketing management roles with several automotive, marketing, and sales-related companies, Erik’s true passion is providing support to companies and helping them achieve their corporate goals.
Erik resides in North Carolina with his wife, Abigail, and four daughters. In his free time, Erik enjoys spending time outdoors, playing sports, and cheering on the Virginia Cavaliers.
